Publisher Policy
Inventory, content, and traffic standards for supply partners connecting inventory to NEXUS.
Scope
This policy applies to every supply partner connecting inventory to the NEXUS platform, across web, in-app, CTV, DOOH, and audio. Meeting it is a condition of continued monetization. Supply partners are pre-screened before contracting and are monitored after onboarding.
Content standards
We do not accept inventory from properties whose primary purpose is to host or distribute:
- Child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors.
- Adult and pornographic content.
- Pirated media, counterfeit goods, or other material infringing intellectual property.
- Content inciting violence, hatred, or discrimination, and terrorist or extremist material.
- Illegal goods and services.
- Malware, phishing, or content designed to compromise a visitor's device or credentials.
- Content that is auto-generated at scale with no independent value to a reader.
Traffic quality
Inventory must represent genuine human attention. The following result in immediate suspension:
- Bot, datacentre, or otherwise non-human traffic, and traffic from incentivised or paid-to-click schemes.
- Ad stacking, pixel stuffing, and any placement rendered outside a viewable area.
- Auto-refresh that is not declared, and refresh intervals below the declared rate.
- Misdeclared inventory, including misrepresented domain, app bundle, placement position, or media type.
- Domain spoofing, and any attempt to misrepresent the origin of a bid request.
- Sourced traffic that is not disclosed to us in advance.
Transparency
Supply partners must maintain accurate ads.txt, app-ads.txt, and sellers.json entries, and must declare their relationship to the inventory as direct or reseller. Bid requests must accurately describe the inventory, including domain or bundle, placement, dimensions, and media type. Supply chain objects must be complete and unmodified.
Consent and privacy
Supply partners are responsible for obtaining and transmitting a valid legal basis for the data in their bid requests, including IAB TCF consent strings where the framework applies and US privacy signals where applicable. Inventory directed at children must be flagged so that it is excluded from behavioural targeting. Partners must comply with the GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, LGPD, PIPL, and any other applicable data protection regulation.
Ad experience
Placements must not deceive or trap the visitor. Do not place ads adjacent to navigation in a way that induces accidental clicks, do not obscure content with unclosable units, and do not exceed the declared ad density for the placement. Interstitials must be dismissible.
Enforcement
We monitor supply continuously for invalid traffic, misdeclaration, and content breaches. Depending on severity we may block individual placements, suspend a property, withhold payment for invalidated inventory, or terminate the agreement. Payment is not made for traffic determined to be invalid.
